Vivacious Yellow

Yellow fever strikes hard this summer. The sunny shade pops up to give an inherent boost to every cutting-edge wardrobe. Whether it is cream, ivory, sand or saffron, there is a whole spectrum of yellow tones at hand with assuredly one that will adorn your seasonal look.

Seen on the runway

The yellow hue is associated with wisdom, happiness and even royalty, and was omnipresent in the shows of various designers this season. Ranging from a long primrose dress at Emilio Pucci to a lemonade combination seen in the collection of Marni, garments are soaked in the colour of the sun. Various materials, such as see-through fabric or silk, are deployed to create a bright effect on the runway.

Translated to the streets

While a full-on monochrome outfit, such as a rippling maxi dress or a two-piece power suit, can fascinate and rejoice the people you stumble upon, a simple yellow twist can also spark delight. Pair a citrus-coloured sweater with a floral bottom as the ultimate expression of summer or add a hint of sun to your wardrobe with a yellow bag.
