How To Wear: Night-Time By Day

You snooze, you lose. Or maybe not so much. Loungewear is no longer restricted to the bedroom, since there is a vast array of exquisite silk pyjama-style shirts, graceful robes de chambres and luxurious lace slip-on dresses to lust after.

From bed to work

Running around the city is more relaxed when sporting cosy. And what could be snugger than your beloved nightwear. Opt for a classic silk ensemble with a stunning jacket or select a fine print such as delightful florals or sassy stripes. The trouser and shirt combo will be even more empowering when paired with precious mules and will leave others longing for the night.

Materialise

The loungewear of spring/summer 2017 doesn’t limit itself to silk-infused creations. Mix it up with lace details to unveil your sensuality, such as an ultra-feminine hemline or a subtle hint of lingerie. Or go for a soft touch with a total velvet look in a show-stopping colour. As an alternative to these opulent fabrics, you can also adopt a classic cotton fibre dressing gown to complete your night-time look.

Boudoir robes

The peignoir might just have been the hero piece in a multitude of SS17 collections, for instance in that of Haider Ackerman or Lanvin. And then there is the Italian label For Restless Sleepers, a brand dedicated to perfecting nightwear. They help you out with a polished dressing gown that will leave everyone in awe. Combine with jeans for a laid-back look or with a long dress for the ultimate elegant silhouette.
