About the designer

For over thirty years, Katrin Wouters and Karen Hendrix have been designing nationally and internationally renowned jewellery. They have deliberately chosen to keep the production in Belgium, to maintain the house’s quality and sophistication. Delicate yet whimsical, their collections vouch for the insight of their artistry. The use of artisan craftsmanship and innovative designs contributes to their worldwide allure. Stones such as onyx, pearls and mother of pearl are the house’s staple, but the designers don’t shy away from a little adventure. While handmade work remains their key focus, the use of different techniques beholds the attention to detail and they always tend to push the limits of the ordinary.

Collection autumn/winter 2017

Wouters & Hendrix were inspired by the process of collecting while creating 'The Collection Curators – Raritas' for AW17. Finely crafted gold-plated pieces featured leaf inspired and pleated designs, paired with leather chokers accentuated by a Jasper stone, crystal pearl and gold-plated embellishment. An actual fork pendant illustrated by combined asymmetric pearl earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Multicoloured statement bracelets in Perspex allowed a vivid touch to the gold and silver toned collection. The meticulously handcrafted pieces are true 'raritas', as in Latin for rare, unique designs translating in true collector’s items.
