Collection autumn/winter 2017
Without making any flashy political statements with this season’s runway show, Victoria Beckham still managed to empower women. Via a gorgeously smart line-up of tailoring, tenderness and a humble homage to the female form, Beckham wanted it to be known that she’d been considering the state of the world while creating this collection. Gorgeous colour combinations, such as navy, cherry mahogany, red and orange addressed a hidden note of strength. Maintaining the label’s effortlessly elegant character, the designer paired gauzy skirts with light, oversized blazers; at other times she brought a full pantsuit in focus. This seasons’ ‘Victoria Beckham woman’ is intelligent, chic and fresh. Silhouettes finished with sturdy boots or pointy flats, while the structured vanity-case handbags, were spurred by her Estée Lauder collaboration.
