About the designer

British designer Stella McCartney is the daughter of famous musician Paul McCartney. In 1997, two years after getting her degree in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins, Stella McCartney was appointed as creative director of Chloé. Later, she launched her namesake fashion label, showing her first collection in Paris in 2001. McCartney is known to be an animal rights activist and therefore does not use any leather or fur in her collections. Her designs are simple, feminine and most of all easily wearable.

Collection autumn/winter 2017

Stella McCartney's DNA - an effortless attitude - offers wardrobe solutions season after season. This autumn/winter, McCartney’s joie de vivre reinterprets her heritage and focuses on slightly oversized, feminine tailoring. Surprising the audience with nostalgic pointed bras covered by embroidered tulle shifts, the designer added these pieces as a detail under essentially everything from bustier shirts to short plaid blazers. For Fall, sensual turned into bold through functional silhouettes and athletic elements. As faith, love and energy ruled McCartney’s runway, the show passionately closed by models singing to George Michaels' ‘Faith’.
