About the designer

If it were up to Franco Moschino, dressing up would be a thing of pure fun. The late designer founded his namesake label in 1983 and brought a refreshing tongue-in-cheek aesthetic to the fashion scene. Upon his untimely death, Rossella Jardini took over the reins until Jeremy Scott was appointed creative director in 2014. The American designer graduated from the Pratt School of Design in New York and interned at Moschino. Today, he’s the creative mastermind behind the label’s innovative and exuberant look and feel.

Collection spring/summer 2018

Moschino’s creative director Jeremy Scott excels in playful haute-couture designs. For the spring/summer 2018 collection, the story embodied biker ballerinas featuring biker jackets and boots with fishnet stockings and ballerina tutu skirts, accented with feather toppings. The black leather silhouettes were punctuated with studs, spikes and zippers and highlighted with pastel hues and My Little Pony T-shirts, sweaters and dresses adding to the playful, theatrical feel. The finale took a different turn by showing full butterfly and floral bouquet gowns with three-dimensional flowers, petals and floral shapes in nature’s brightest colour palette.
