Collection spring/summer 2018
J.W. Anderson’s spring/summer 2018 collection was a sartorial sanctuary that soothed with clean lines and earthy tones. Natural fibres fostered a grounded feel with fabrics such as soft linen, serene cotton and leather. The knitted dresses, paired with utilitarian boots that featured leather lace-up detailing, felt like they could be worn both trekking Moroccan deserts and Manhattan streets. The pared-back appeal was heightened by the undergarment delicacy of the tops and the easy-going silhouettes. The collection featured the occasional sparkle and punches of colour, proving that even in a sanctuary, standing out is not a sin.
