Collection spring/summer 2018
Isabel Marant wandered off to a chic French surf paradise by fusing a sporty vibe with her signature bohemian aesthetic. As a first, Marant presented a few menswear silhouettes, borrowing some designs from the girls. The show began with creamy white looks such as crochet bodysuits, a billowing sleeved top paired with tracksuit trousers and a ruffled mini dress. A black leather skirt, cropped trousers and surf suit-inspired dungarees in a slim fit contrasted with the all-white looks. The monochrome tone swiftly turned into shiny metallics, in silhouettes with high waisted trousers in red and turquoise, tapered at the ankle and styled with swimsuit bodices and shiny floral tops. Cropped oversized tracksuit jackets were worn with crochet briefs and high waist shorts. The low-key show closed with all-black silhouettes accentuated with silver-toned studs and metallic detailing adding to the glamorous sporty theme.
