Faith Connexion

While the Parisian label was originally founded in the years 2000 by Ilan Delouis, it was the brand’s drastic rebirth in 2012 that put it on the map. Faith Connexion’s creative team is secretively kept anonymous, but it is rumoured that former Balmain art director Christophe Decarnin is behind this edgy luxury success story.

About the designer

Founded in the early 2000s by Ilan Delouis, the brand is completely unrecognisable nowadays. Faith Connexion's resurgence took place after a radical change in strategy. In 2012, the entire design team was replaced by former Balmain creatives. The restructuring had a massive impact on three critical levels: Faith Connexion didn't participate in working with a celeb-status-designer, put a hold on opening mono-brand stores and didn't take part in the fashion industry's conventions on seasonal collections. The brand has established privileged and exclusive relationships with its retailers. The so called 'Circle of Faith' is how they describe these partnerships. Retailers have access to Faith Connexion's inventory-updates, loyalty benefits and so on. 

Since the new creative team took the helm, the brand's signature heavily distressed streetwear aesthetics are mixed with graffiti influences.

Collection autumn/winter 2017

The brand’s AW17 collection embodied a punk-inspired aesthetic defined by bleached distressed denim and embellished oversized knitwear. Meticulously merging streetwear with high fashion, body-con mini dresses in black sheer were varied with bold printed street wear sweaters and total leather looks.  A ‘Kappa’ collaboration presented glistening gold sequined track trousers accentuated with the sport brand’s signature logo along the sides. As a highlight, sequin-lined faux fur coats and statement knit scarfs layered the decadent infused silhouettes.
