About the designer
French fashion designer and businesswoman Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel created the House of Chanel in 1909, offering women simple and elegant silhouettes. German designer Karl Lagerfeld became creative director and chief designer in 1983. While abiding by the label’s signature style, fabrics and detailing, Lagerfeld provides the iconic brand with original revivals.
After gaining cult status over the decades, the maison launched its eyewear line in 1999. The coveted optical glasses and sunglasses provided immediate luxury and refinement while reflecting innovative craftsmanship and contemporary elegance.
