About the designer

The founders of Bananatime, Naoyo Kawaguchi en Julia Mah, are two best friends from Amsterdam with a shared love for vintage fabrics and comfort dressing. Creating the ultimate luxury clothing for every-day – lavish silk pieces with a relaxed, breezy feel – their brand Bananatime has developed a signature unisex aesthetic that include playfully printed boxers, trousers and shirts – items that break up the monotony of life. Bananatime’s definition of luxury is a modern one of indulgence and comfort, with garments that can be worn at home or out and about, just as stylish for lounging or traveling. The relaxed fits and eclectic, flattering prints in flowing, pure silk are perfect for spontaneous style mavens.
 

Collection autumn/winter 2017

As with each Bananatime collection, multifunctional unisex items are presented with a different distinctive twist in the form of a vintage-inspired print. This season, the eye-popping prints are named Electric Avenue, Obee Kanobee and Diamonds & Pearls, with blue as an overarching colour. Unisex cashmere and wool pieces like oversized cardigans, tapered trousers and crew neck sweaters in navy blue or light grey mélange complete the picture of easily styled separates that together form comfortable and elegant outfits.
